Well...(start sarcasum) today was a BEAUTIFUL day (end sarcasum)

Today my day started with a call from my father in law.  There was a big leak in the bathroom over at their place.  The weekend before, I had repaired the toilet there and needed to change out some old parts....it had not been serviced for 30 years!   Well when I turned the water back on, the pipes started banging (also known as water hammering).  I'm guessing that it was enough to cause a leak in one of the joints and now I have an In wall leak to repair tonight.    Well on my way there to survey the damage, I managed to back up my car into the front drivers side door of a car that was stopped behind me.  Why it was there with the person in the drivers seat...I'll never know, but still since I did not check my mirror cause I was in a rush, (also the REASON i hate being rushed) now I have someone who is going to file damages to their vehicle on my insurance.  At least I took photographs of the damage incase they try to screw me on the deal. The damage was more cosmetic...the dent was not sufficiant enough to keep the door from closing so hopefully the repair will just be to bang it out and repaint...that will be enough on its own.


So far that's my day...I'll let you know how the repair went....that is after I cut the wall open and TRY and repair the leak...once i find the water closet to shut the water off.....*mono tone* yeay

Right now I feel empty.  I've had to make a decision that has rocked me to the core.  To follow what is right and not what is east is not simple thing.  To live with it is another matter entirely.  In the end I know that what I decided was the right way for me personaly to go...but how it makes me feel is not something I wish on anyone.

I'm devistated   utterly devistated.


I know I have a lot to be happy for.  I have adara, I'm home, I have a job...but I had to give something up that was part of me, part of my life, part of making me feel like I was part of something bigger and that I had a chance to make a difference...even a small one.


All I know is that right now...im lost.  Adara is my life and my anchor...but my mind is lost.

Believe it or not...this is the one time in my life I WANT the mental noise back....I want to drown in my thoughts so that I cant hurt.

It amazes me sometimes how stupid things can be.  Things that as individuals we know can be avoided.  Simple stupid things that if we just used a rarely tapped resource call *dramatic pause*  common sense, would make life a little easier.

For those of you that don't know, I work at a packing and shipping store.  I deal with packages going out through Fed Ex, UPS, and the Post Office as part of my duties.  Aside from dealing with customer and printing jobs that I also am in charge of, I also deal with any claims that come through.

Currently I'm dealing with a claim with a damaged laptop that was sent through FedEx through our store.  We pack our packages as if they were our own and I know like you, I don't want my shit getting broken.  We after looking at the photos, it's pretty clear to me that they dropped a heavy ass box on the package.  The LCD screen is cracked and the Lid of the laptop is actually bowed (Bent in the middle so the edges lift up).

Lack of Common sense #1:  The person that sent the box DID NOT get shipping insurance after we has asked them if they wanted to insure it (a religious practice at our store for electronic items)  it would have only cost an extra $9.00.  By the way, I forgot to mention that they had a shipping budget of $400.00 and it cost $150.00 to send it over-night service.  I can understand that it's a lot for an overnight but another $9.00 would not have hurt.

Needless to say, FedEx is going to bend me over on this one but I'm going to try anyways...it takes A LOT to damage a lappy like that.

When my FedEx guy came in today for the daily pickup, I told him what had happened and he offered me a possible senario.  He said that sometimes when they drive, they hit bumps on the road and boxes fall from the shelves in the back of the truck and what might have happened is that our box fell off and a heavier box fell on top of it.  (not the same guy that took ours but sais that this is a common occurrence...gee  that's confidence inspiring)

Lack of Common sense #2:  If this is soooo common, why in the hell is Fed Ex not issuing cargo nets or even bungee cables for their drivers to put up so this kind of situation does NOT happen.  I mean if I was a driver, I would take the time to go to Walmart and for probably around $10 get a set of bungee cables so that the company I work for would not have to deal with dishing out cash...but that's just me.  *shakes his head*

So as you can see, a statement my step dad once said holds so true. "common sense is not common."

So now that I've de-hymenated my new LJ account, lets post some things I've been working on and what not.

Ok to start with.  Over the last 2 years I've gotten involved (addicted) to Second Life.  I've not be on as much resently since life got a fair bit to busy so...more First life than Second life LOL.  For thouse of you on second life that are on my friends list that have not already added me, my name in SL  is  Gorath Hyun.

In second life I was able to find an artistic outlet.  Not only does the program allow for you to take pictures of things and Avatars in world, but you can also build and create things in Second life.  It is the first time I've been able to do art work in 3D since their building interface is extreemly user friendly.

Hello again to my friends out there.  Before I started this new account, I was listed under the lj user Mochini.  That was over 2 years ago.  To my friends from that account that have followed my last post from there to here, I saw hello again!

What has been going on......long story.

Life got pretty busy. After Adara's mom died (Adara LJ  http://ravenousfire.livejournal.com/ )  things got preaty busy.  I had finally told my boss at the studio job to go fuck himself.  I was finally heading home to be with Adara, but in order to finish my immigration to the USA, I had to spend a year in Canada.  In that time Adara went through a very bad double depression but she also ended up finding our cute puppy called Molly.  After the year away I finally finished me immagrancy to the US and was permanently staying home.  During this time however, instead of Adara and I getting closer, we drew apart emotionally.  Our marriage was going thorough some of the worse stress it ever was and we were both at fault for that.  Adaras resent post goes more into detail of what actually happened http://ravenousfire.livejournal.com/23764.html .  Her and I are starting to mend everything and have been getting much much closer.  if anything, these last couple of years has not only shown us how much we love each other and how strong our bond is, but how much she is part of my life.  I tried to be there for her as much as possible and on the flipside, she is my strength.

Other things that have been going on....I got hooked on Second Life for a while and discovered that I loved building sculptures in that program as an artistic release.  I also have been doing an online radio show for over a year now 2 nights a week for House Lost Haven.  If your interested in tuning in, shows are usually on weds and fri. starting around 12mid EST and go for 2 hours.  I your on irc you can reach me in dalnet in channels #losthaven  or #otherbeings   If your on Yahoo  you can im me there at  wolvia@yahoo.com  The website for the station is  http://lostradio.tk
